DIY Minnie Mouse ears

We’re leaving for Disney World tomorrow. And I’ve always wanted a pair of Minnie Mouse ears, but they’re pretty pricey.

So I made my own.

One for Taylor, one for me
One for Taylor, one for me

What you’ll need:

  • Black headband
  • 2 pieces of black felt
  • Red polka dot ribbon
  • Jewels, optional
  • Hot glue gun
  • Wire
  • Scissors
  • White crayon

Fold the felt in half, and draw a large white circle (I traced a CD) close to the fold. Cut around the circle, leaving your two pieces of felt connected.

Place a line of hot glue around the edge of one of the circles, and glue a piece of wire onto the circle. This will make the ears stand up.

Place the felt circles around the headband and glue together. Make sure to put glue on the headband too so the ear stays in place.

Trim any rough or uneven edges, and one ear is done!

After you have both ears on the headband, cut a length of ribbon and tie a bow. Glue the bow between the ears. And if you want, glue a few jewels on the ears to make your headband stand out.
