I’ve had a few requests for this post, so here you go!
Hubby and I talked about getting a dog before we got married, but we decided to wait until we moved and got settled in. In August, Hubby was randomly searching dogs in the Cincinnati area, and he found the most adorable Australian shepherd mix that I just had to have.
His name was Casper, and he had separation anxiety and was on Prozac and was super shy. But after visiting him in his foster home, we knew we had to adopt him.
So we’ve had this little fluff ball for almost a year, and we can’t imagine our lives without him.
We adopted Casper from Save Our Shelter Dogs Rescue, and if you’re in the Tri-State area and are looking for a pooch, definitely give them a look. All of the dogs are in foster care and come vetted and spayed/neutered, which is awesome. They’re a little pricy because of this, but it’s totally worth it.
He’s off his drugs and is a little less crazy now. Plus, he has a new friend!
We adopted Wendy last week from Petsmart (well, actually from Pet Lovers, but she was living at Petsmart). She’s about 2 years old and super cuddly. But only if you’re standing holding her or she’s laying on the bed like this and petting her.
She’s the queen of the roost, and she knows it. We’re just not sure Casper has figured it out yet.
And no, Wendy’s name wasn’t Wendy when we got her. It was Janie. We changed it to be cute.
