House hunting

House hunting is hard. Like really hard.

Just when you think you’ve found a good one, you go to the basement. Or upstairs. Or you look outside and it needs a crap ton of work. So then it gets crossed off the list and you’re back to square one.

Now, don’t get me wrong—I know hubby and I are going to have to give any house we buy a little TLC to make it ours. But a new roof isn’t in our budget. Neither is redoing an entire bathroom because it has lime green tile. I’m fully prepared to tear down wallpaper, paint and possibly tear up carpet. And a part of me is kind of excited about this.

And I wish you could buy houses with Monopoly money. That would make life so much easier. (Because in case you didn’t know, houses are EXPENSIVE!)
