A date with Final Cut

After five hours in the multimedia closet Wednesday night, my audio slideshow is COMPLETE!!! And it’s online. I also feel fairly proficient in Final Cut.

Working with Final Cut is something I don’t want to do again in the near future, but multimedia is where journalism is going (or already should be). Since so many publications are in print and online – or online only – reporters are beginning to record interviews, take photos and then edit them into a slideshow. Which is cool.

We had several options for programs to use to edit our audio and photos, and Final Cut was probably the easiest, albeit frustrating. After a two-month collective effort from me, Audrey and Brad, and a lot of help from Michelle Wednesday night, it’s done. Yippee!!!
