One day, I want to write something as fantastically amazing as this.
Katherine had us read one of Esquire magazines’ six greatest stories every published for class on Tuesday. It was an investigative piece to identify ‘The Falling Man’, a man who jumped from the North Tower of the World Trade Center on Sept. 11, 2001.
Junod sourced the article to death, lending to his extraordinary storytelling. And I think most important of all, it’s objective.
I don’t know if Junod specifically looked for sources or if they just fell into his lap. But one day, I want to write a story that impacts people like this one did.
It makes you catch your breath and realize you’re in the right profession.
