“It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown!”

The exciting weekend at MU is over. Students rushed the field after the Tigers beat the Sooners. The goal posts were cut outside Harpo’s.

And now it’s the week before Halloween — my favorite time of the year.

The leaves have changed colors and there are piles of them everywhere. Carved pumpkins adorn many doorsteps. Costumes and candy are flying off the shelves at party stores and Wal-mart.

On Wednesday, Faith Baptist Church is hosting Trunk or Treat, a safe trick-or-treating environment for kids. I’m excited to go check it out.

Friday is the day for Halloween costume parades and parties at many elementary schools, including Two Mile Prairie and Derby Ridge. I’m going out to TMP, and Kellie is going to go to Derby Ridge’s — the festivities are at the same time at both schools and I can’t be in two places at once.
